A berry-filled mood
The scent of summer and kind hearts — that perfectly describes Good Jam Day, where volunteers prepared homemade jam for older adults
Good Jam Day in Romny turned into a true celebration of summer and kindness! As fruits and berries ripen in the gardens, it is the perfect time to share nature’s generous gifts. Members of our Jewish community joyfully brought harvests from their own gardens, and our volunteers eagerly took on the task - together, they cooked fragrant homemade jam.
In small jars, we preserved not only the taste of summer but also the warmth of our hearts. These sweet gifts were sent to older adults as a gesture of care, attention, and gratitude. For some, it was simply jam, but for others, it was a reminder that they are remembered, valued, and appreciated.
In a friendly and cheerful atmosphere, everyone worked with smiles, exchanging recipes, sharing memories, and talking about future plans. Jam is not just about berries and sugar - it is about unity and how small steps can create something truly meaningful.
We sincerely thank everyone who took part in this heartwarming initiative! Together, we show that kindness has a taste, a fragrance, and the power to bring people together.
