A celebration that grows even in the cold

Despite the frost and lack of electricity, members of the community together celebrated Tu BiShvat - with a quest and the warmth of togetherness

All programs of the Jewish Hesed "Bnei Azriel" celebrated Tu BiShvat - a holiday of life, growth, and hope. A holiday that reminds us: even in the most difficult conditions, a tree continues to reach toward the light. And on this day, we gathered to once again feel - the tree of life always grows.

Even when it is freezing outside, there is no light, and the festive dress code is hats and winter jackets. Yes, it was like that too. But it did not prevent us from creating a true atmosphere of warmth and unity.

We started with a quiz - with light excitement, laughter, unexpected answers, and pleasant prizes. Our beneficiaries and guests gladly joined in, showing their knowledge and once again proving: it is possible to enjoy, learn, and stay active at any age.

.Next, everyone took part in a creative team quest. Each team received a set of ingredients and created their own composition in the shape of a Hamsa. And here the most interesting part began: presentations of works, explanations of symbols, deep meanings with a touch of humor, and sincere conversations that combined philosophy and lightness.

The final touch was a sweet surprise from the volunteers of the culinary club "Naches" (project "Interaction") - a healthy dessert whose ingredients still had to be guessed. There were many versions - and each sounded no less convincing than classic recipes.

For our Jewish community, Tu BiShvat is about roots that hold us and branches that reach toward the future. About life that does not stop - under any circumstances.
