All-Ukrainian campaign “Hanukkah Marathon”

Results of the volunteer campaign “Hanukkah Marathon,” held from December 25 to January 2 across 23 volunteer centers

This campaign is one of the volunteers’ favorites because, during these days, they have the opportunity to remind the world that miracles are not far away but right here within each of us! Moreover, it is the light of kindness that can bring smiles to children’s faces and warm the hearts of the elderly.

Therefore, volunteers prepared and held 113 diverse events as part of the campaign!

These included creative workshops for children, teenagers, and seniors; baking sufganiyot and latkes; home visits to people with limited mobility; interactive activities and attractions; collective candle lighting; kindness marathons; collecting and delivering personalized dream gifts; and even culinary battles!

In total, 423 volunteers brought unforgettable emotions, light, and warmth to 907 children and 1,093 elderly people! They also baked and gifted 2,905 donuts! Despite dark times, the light from volunteers’ hearts made the Hanukkah days bright, colorful, magical, and wonderful—once again proving that unity and the strength of community can overcome anything in the world!
