Art Therapy Together
Painting-by-Numbers sessions were held at the day center with the participation of volunteers
With the support of WJR and volunteers, painting-by-numbers sessions were held at the community day center, becoming much more than just a leisure activity. They provided a space for art therapy, calmness, and inner balance, where each participant could step away from everyday concerns and immerse themselves in creativity.
In a warm and friendly atmosphere, participants chose subjects that resonated with them. Some painted blooming landscapes filled with light and the harmony of nature, while others chose charming animals that brought sincere smiles. For some, it was their first experience with painting, opening new opportunities for self-expression through color and form.
This format of creative gatherings has significant therapeutic value. Painting helps reduce stress and anxiety, improves concentration and memory, develops fine motor skills, and brings a sense of satisfaction from one's own achievements. This is especially important for older people, as creativity fills their days with meaning and bright emotions.
The social aspect of such gatherings is equally important. During the creative process, participants communicate, share impressions, support one another, and feel themselves to be part of a lively and friendly community.
At these moments, everyday worries, news, and anxieties fade into the background. What remains is creativity, colors, and inner peace, which gradually transforms into hope and faith in a better future.
