“Ball of Kindness” Project 2024–2025

Over the course of a year, the “Ball of Kindness” project has spread across Ukraine like a true tapestry of good deeds and humanity

The project’s impact in numbers – impressive, and in the heart – inspiring!

Over the past year, volunteers of the “Ball of Kindness” have personally created:

  • 4,428 pairs of warm socks
  • 3,080 soft toys
  • 632 outfits for infants
  • 245 items for elderly people, bringing not only warmth to the body but also to the soul

These items reached those who need care the most: children from hospitals and crisis centers, elderly people, families in difficult life situations, and internally displaced persons. Each item is unique, made with thought for the person who will receive it. Volunteers are not just knitting socks – they are sending warmth through their hands and hearts.

And it’s also about community, inspiration, and collective action. The project brought together 153 volunteers from 13 volunteer centers across Ukraine, and this creative energy didn’t stop at knitting:

  • 37 workshops were held, where beginners learned the art of knitting, and experienced crafters passed on their knowledge
  • 41 city fairs were attended, where proceeds – over 61,000 UAH – were directed to charity, yarn purchases, and supporting those in need

The Ball of Kindness unfolded not only in clubs and homes – it unfolded in hearts, bringing people closer together, united around good deeds.

The “Ball of Kindness” project is not just about help. It is handmade support, a symbol of selflessness, and a constant readiness to give a piece of oneself for the sake of others. It is something deeply human and real in our sometimes cold world.

We thank everyone who has become part of this story of kindness.

We are not stopping.

The Ball continues to unravel – wherever warmth is needed.
