Board Games, Genuine Emotions and a Little Competition

Hesed hosted a board game evening filled with friendly competition, fun and warm conversations

The Hesed Day Center was once again filled with friendly conversation, excitement and good spirits! Our regular volunteers visited their friends to spend an evening playing board games together. So many people wanted to join that one game was certainly not enough, so participants split into two teams, each with its own game and strategy for winning.

The first team chose their favorite game, "Dots," featuring cute Dalmatians. But behind the funny puppies was a real strategic challenge! Players had to collect dots, roll dice, plan their moves and win as many dogs as possible to become the champions. Logic, attention and the ability to plan ahead were all essential.

The second team tested their skills in another strategy game. The goal was to be the first to line up seven tokens in a row. It sounded simple, but their opponents were always alert! While some built their combinations, others searched for the right cards, watched their opponents' moves closely and tried to disrupt their plans in time.

The evening had everything that makes board games so exciting: unexpected decisions, bold strategies, funny jokes, friendly tricks and genuine excitement over successful moves. Most importantly, there was plenty of lively conversation, support and positive emotions.

Such gatherings remind us that board games are much more than competing to win. They offer a chance to spend time together, enjoy shared activities, sharpen our thinking skills and see once again how much joy comes from being among friends.

Thank you to all the volunteers and participants for a wonderful evening! May there be many more exciting games, unexpected victories and warm gatherings ahead. See you at the next game!
