Bracelets of Support

Volunteers conducted a creative bracelet-making workshop for children living in an IDP shelter

Volunteers visited children at an internally displaced persons shelter to host a warm and creative bracelet-making workshop. The session took place in an atmosphere of care, attention, and genuine emotions, giving children an opportunity to feel supported and simply enjoy a space filled with joy and calm.

Together with the volunteers, the children created colorful bracelets using beads of different shapes and colors. Each bracelet became more than just an accessory - it became a small personal story with its own words, symbols, meanings, and emotions.

Through creativity, participants were able to express themselves, share their feelings and imagination, and develop fine motor skills, attention, and cognitive abilities. For many children, it was an opportunity to relax, take their minds off daily challenges, and spend time in a safe and supportive environment.

The workshop was filled with smiles, conversations, and moments of genuine connection. Volunteers supported the children throughout the process, helped them develop ideas, and created an atmosphere where everyone felt important, accepted, and valued.

These gatherings became more than just creative activities - they served as a space for connection, support, and emotional renewal. They help preserve a sense of belonging, warmth, and childhood spontaneity even in difficult life circumstances.

We sincerely thank the volunteers for the warmth and care they bring to children, and the participants for the openness, sincerity, and inspiration that made this meeting so special.
