Care for nature and people

Volunteers greeted elderly community members for Tu BiShvat with eco-friendly and symbolic gifts

As part of the volunteer ecological initiative “To be-Eco,” TDU volunteers greeted elderly community members for Tu BiShvat – the holiday of trees, nature, and renewal.

In preparing the gifts, volunteers approached the task with special attention and warmth. Each set was thoughtfully designed to combine the symbolism of the holiday, ecological values, and genuine care for people. The main element of the gift was home-grown microgreens – a small symbol of life, growth, and hope.

The sets also included aromatic herbal tea and dried fruits with honey – healthy and natural treats that evoke the generosity of nature and the traditions of Tu BiShvat. Volunteers prepared each gift by hand, putting not only the products but also a piece of their attention and kindness into each package.

During visits to the recipients, volunteers not only delivered gifts but also shared conversation, smiles, and a festive spirit. For many elderly people, such meetings are especially meaningful, reminding them that they are remembered and remain an important part of the community.

Initiatives like these help not only to promote care for nature but also to foster a culture of mutual support. After all, caring for the earth and caring for people are two parts of the same value.

May everything planted grow with goodness – in hearts, in homes, and in the life of each person.
