Volunteers from the eco-club "Ecol" assisted elderly people living alone by tidying up the yards around their homes
Volunteers from the eco-club "Ecol" once again proved that care, attention, and compassion can work real wonders. This time, they responded to the requests of elderly people living alone and helped tidy up the areas around their homes — mowing the grass, trimming bushes and trees, and organizing the yards, transforming them into cozy and well-kept spaces.
For the volunteers, it was only a few hours of physical work, but for older adults who, due to health conditions or limited mobility, spend most of their time at home, such help has enormous significance. A neat yard, pruned branches, and a clean area around the house are not just about order — they bring a sense of beauty, care, and attention to their needs.
Each cleaned yard became a small celebration for the residents: they joyfully watched the work, thanked the volunteers, and shared warm words. In these moments, it becomes especially clear how important simple, seemingly small acts can be.
The activities of the eco-club "Ecol" are a vivid example of how care for the environment and support for people can go hand in hand. Thanks to the volunteers’ efforts, not only the appearance of the yards changes, but also the mood, inner state, and belief in goodness of those who need it most.
