Caring for nature and people

This year's Tu BiShvat celebration at the Ternopil Volunteer Center took place under the banner of the ecological initiative "To-be-eco"

The "To-be-eco" initiative brought together care for nature and support for those who need it most.

The campaign began with a warm, cozy process – making eco-tea. Volunteers and participants lovingly selected natural herbs, blended fragrances, and created unique tea compositions that would fill the festive days with warmth and benefits.

The activity continued with an equally exciting task – growing microgreens. Together with the less mobile beneficiaries of the center, we tried our hand at this, learning how to take care of the plants with attention and care. This process not only became a valuable ecological experience but also brought a lot of joy and a sense of unity with nature.

The conclusion of the campaign was marked by the traditional initiative – the planting of indoor plants, which volunteers later delivered to the lonely beneficiaries in celebration of Tu BiShvat. Each plant became a small symbol of life, care, and warmth, which will bring joy to its new owners for a long time to come.

This campaign reminded us once again that Tu BiShvat is not just a holiday for trees, but also a wonderful opportunity to get closer to nature, do a good deed and offer care to those in need.

Together, we make the world better both for people and for nature!
