Citrus Magic
Volunteers prepared fragrant orange and lemon jam with cinnamon for the people they support
Sumy Volunteer Community held another event as part of the nationwide Good Jam Day volunteer campaign. Our volunteers gathered for a workshop to prepare a special treat for those they support - fragrant jam made with oranges, lemons and cinnamon.
During the preparation, the room filled with a bright citrus aroma and warm notes of cinnamon. It created a cozy, homely atmosphere, brought back memories of sunny days and gave the gathering a special mood. It seemed that along with the fruit, every jar was filled with positive emotions, heartfelt wishes and a little warmth.
The workshop was a wonderful opportunity for volunteers to spend time together, share experiences and learn something new for a good cause. Everyone took part in the process, bringing their effort, good spirits and desire to make others happy.
We sincerely thanked all the volunteers for their time, energy, compassion and willingness to help. Thanks to their involvement, ordinary fruits became special gifts that showed care for every person.
After cooking, the fragrant jam was prepared for delivery to those we support. Each jar became a small gesture of care - a reminder that they are remembered, valued and that others want to bring them moments of joy.
Good Jam Day once again brought us together around a simple but important idea: kindness grows wherever people are willing to share their time, skills and warmth. Sometimes a small homemade treat, prepared with love, is enough to bring someone joy.
Thank you to everyone who joined this initiative! Together, we did another good deed and gave those we support a little sunshine, sweetness and warmth.
