Colors of сare
On the eve of Shabbat, the volunteers of our community gathered together to share warmth through homemade challahs, baked with their own hands
On the eve of Shabbat, our community once again united around good deeds within the framework of the “Wave of Kindness” initiative. This time, we held a gathering under the symbolic name “Colors of Care”, dedicated not only to culinary creativity but also to the profound meaning of support and warmth that can be shared through something as simple as a challah.

One of our volunteers generously shared her beloved challah recipe, which she has been baking for many years, and led a workshop for everyone interested. Participants braided challahs with great inspiration, decorated them in the colors of the flag, and poured a piece of themselves into every loaf. The atmosphere was uniquely cozy: the aroma of dough, laughter, heartfelt conversations, and a shared effort that brings generations together.
More than 20 bright, patriotic challahs were delivered to elderly people — our beneficiaries. Each one was special. Their shapes may not have been perfect, but their essence carried soul, care, and love. That is what truly matters. We weren’t just baking challahs — we were sharing care, remembrance, gratitude, and love.

This initiative once again reminded us: happiness lies in simple things. In people willing to share warmth. In those who remember the elderly and strive to give them not only bread but also hope.
Joyful eyes, words of gratitude, smiles, and tears — these were the best results of our “Wave of Kindness.” And we will continue to carry it forward.
