Creativity and Volunteering
A creative workshop was organized for Hesed clients, introducing participants to different areas of volunteer engagement
As part of the "Supporting Hesed Programs" project, clients of Hesed Michael participated in a creative workshop on making lavender-citrus sachets. The activity was led by volunteers from the "Interaction" project together with members of the "Shtetl" Family Club.
The gathering took place in a warm and friendly atmosphere and became not only a creative activity but also a space for communication, new connections, and mutual support. Participants enthusiastically joined the process of creating fragrant sachets, selected combinations of herbs and citrus ingredients, shared their impressions, and simply enjoyed spending time together in a welcoming environment.
A special feature of the workshop was introducing participants to the activities of the TDU volunteer movement. Volunteers spoke about various areas of work, social and creative initiatives, and demonstrated how diverse acts of kindness within the community can be.
During the meeting, participants learned that volunteering is not only about helping others but also an opportunity to find like-minded people, discover personal talents, bring ideas to life, and become part of a community that supports one another.
The workshop generated genuine interest and many positive emotions. For some participants, it was their first experience taking part in such an activity, while for others it became an opportunity to look at volunteering from a new perspective and feel more connected to community life.
Such gatherings are planned to continue in the future, as they help not only provide meaningful and engaging leisure activities but also attract new people to the volunteer movement, strengthen connections within the community, and create a space where everyone can find their place.
