Day of Remembrance and Reconciliation
This year, on the occasion of the Day of Remembrance and Reconciliation, volunteers took part in the delivery of food packages to the elderly.
On the eve of the memorable date, the volunteers visited ten such people in Dnepr.
It was interesting for the volunteers to communicate with the people they came to, as each of them has stories that they want to share.
For example, one of the women they visited, despite her age and health problems, is herself a volunteer and, together with young people, collects and gives warm clothes to our defenders. She is even proud of the thanks she received for her active position. And someone celebrated a centennial anniversary!
People were happy that they were remembered by the Jewish community, as well as young people, who were ready to carry the world at least with small actions, based on the experience of older generations.
Such acts of kindness and mutual understanding remind us that even in difficult times it is possible to do good and change the world for the better. Let these valuable initiatives live on, and we will all do good together with them and take care of each other.
