Eco Tu BiShvat
Ahead of Tu BiShvat, volunteers held a workshop on planting microgreens as part of the “To be eco” campaign
The New Year of the Trees - Tu BiShvat - was marked by the Ternopil Volunteer Center with a meaningful and inspiring “To be eco” initiative. The holiday became a reminder of the importance of nature, care for the environment, and support for those who need it.
As part of the campaign, a workshop on planting vitamin-rich microgreens was conducted. Participants learned how easy it is to grow healthy greens at home and how important they are for health.
The planting process brought everyone together in a shared activity, where each person could contribute to creating a small but meaningful result. The atmosphere was filled with curiosity, communication, and a desire to do good.
When the seedlings grow and are ready for consumption, they will be delivered to immobile Hesed clients and families of internally displaced persons. This will become not only a useful gift, but also an expression of care and attention.
Tu BiShvat in this format once again proves: even small environmental initiatives can have a great impact when they unite people and spread kindness.
