Charity foundation “Hesed Shaarey Zion” in cooperation with “Joynt” – jewish-american committee and charity foundation “Unity” from Israel have been evacuating refugees and common citizens for two months now.

Citizens of Odessa, members of the community decided to leave their city behind and evacuate in safer places. Amongst the refugees were people with disabilities, kids, and elders. People are tired of living in constant state of anxiety; they are scared for their relatives and for their own lives first and foremost. We can only imagine how traumatizing can it be to live with alarm sirens going of several times a day.

Not only people wwho live in Odessa are leaving, but also those who stayed thee as transit from Kharkov, Nikolayev, Kherson, and Dnepr. 

4399 people have been successfully evacuated already.
