Food Security 2025 Project

We are pleased to share the results of the nationwide Food Security project for 2025

In 2025, the Food Security project became a reliable pillar of support for thousands of people across Ukraine. Behind the dry figures lies the daily work of volunteers, the support of partners, and real assistance to those who need it most.

Results that speak for themselves:

  • 1,950 beneficiaries received support
  • 3,683 monthly food packages
  • 17,531 hot meal portions
  • 4,179 challahs, bread, and bakery products
  • 1,396 vegetable and fruit packages

The estimated total value of direct support amounted to $112,317, of which $29,873 was provided with the support of JDC. The total amount of assistance delivered reached $82,444.

Who we support:

  • 1,614 elderly and single individuals
  • 173 people with disabilities
  • 152 children at risk
  • 11 families in difficult circumstances and IDPs

The project operates in 10 cities across Ukraine, bringing together 10 volunteer centers, 74 partners, and 295 volunteers who prove every day: care is action.

Stories behind the numbers:

Heinrich, 84, from Kryvyi Rih recently lost his wife. One evening, returning home, he was thinking about what to prepare for dinner. At that very moment, volunteers delivered a warm meal - soup, a main course, a cutlet, and a fresh roll.

For him, it was not just food. It was a sign: he is not alone. He is remembered.

And there are hundreds of such stories. Because food security is not only about products. It is about dignity, support, and human warmth.

Together, we are building a system of assistance that works steadily and effectively. And we continue moving forward - so that no one is left alone with their hardships.
