Good Deeds for the future
Volunteers kicked off Good Deeds Week with an incredibly warm and heartfelt meeting with children from a shelter for internally displaced persons.
This day marked the first step on a journey of good deeds, with much more inspiration ahead, so be sure to follow our updates and not miss a thing!

In the meantime, we were not only sharing attention and care, but also useful knowledge that children can use in their everyday lives. Have you ever thought about how daily habits affect the quality of our lives? We have. That’s why the topic of this interactive meeting was an introduction to the concept of “food compatibility” in the fridge — a simple yet important rule that helps keep food fresh and safe.

Have you ever thought about how daily habits affect the quality of our lives? We have. That’s why the topic of this interactive meeting was an introduction to the concept of “food compatibility” in the fridge — a simple yet important rule that helps keep food fresh and safe.

Together with the children, we explored why bananas don’t “like” the fridge, figured out where dairy products, eggs, and meat “live,” and learned how to organize food properly so it doesn’t spoil or “transfer” unwanted odors or bacteria.

And all of this — in a playful format! We created mini paper fridge models, colored food items, placed them in the “correct” compartments, and discussed how these skills help us become more responsible and independent.

At the end of the meeting, the children received not only sweet treats but also valuable knowledge that will stay with them for a long time. After all, true good deeds are not only about help — they are also about caring for the future.
Meetings like these are a small but very important contribution to building trust, care, life skills, and healthy habits. We thank all the volunteers who make such moments possible!
