Good Jam Day: 100 Jars of Inspiration

Volunteers made jam with unusual flavors and delivered sweet treats to clients for Rosh Hashanah

This year, the participants of Good Jam Day - our tireless home cooks - outdid themselves! Over the summer, they made an impressive 100 jars of jam, filling them with the aromas of fruits, berries and true culinary inspiration.

But the highlight was not the quantity, but the originality of the recipes. The volunteers experimented with flavors and created unusual combinations: jam with lavender and rose, kiwi, goumi berries, blackberries and oranges. Each recipe had its own special touch, and every jar held a piece of summer and the warmth of the hands that prepared it.

And that's not all! New seasonal harvests of pears, cornelian cherries, plums, quinces and sea buckthorn are still ahead. So the culinary experiments will continue, bringing new flavors and fragrant discoveries. The first tasting has already taken place, and clients were delighted with the volunteers' treats.

The final stage of the campaign was packaging and delivering the finished jam to clients ahead of Rosh Hashanah, the Jewish New Year. The fruits and berries collected by volunteers throughout the summer became sweet gifts meant to bring festive cheer and warm emotions.

Good Jam Day became more than a story about homemade preserves. It showed how teamwork, creativity and compassion can turn into a good deed. Behind every jar were the volunteers' efforts, love for what they do and a desire to bring joy to others.

We thank our wonderful home cooks for their creativity, inspiration and tireless hands, and everyone who joined the campaign for their warmth and support!

May Rosh Hashanah be sweet, generous and filled with goodness, with many more delicious ideas and opportunities to share joy ahead!
