Honor to the Past
The annual volunteer clean-up campaign at the Jewish cemetery is more than just a charitable initiative
The annual volunteer tradition of cleaning the Jewish cemetery brings together compassionate people each year who come not only to tidy up but to pay tribute to the generations that built our present. This place is not just a plot of land with monuments; it is pages of our community’s history, which we approach with respect, gratitude, and an understanding of how important it is to preserve memory.

This year, as always, volunteers gathered equipped with gloves, tools, and a sincere desire to do a good deed. They cleaned up trash, raked dry leaves, trimmed overgrowth, and cleaned gravestones - all to restore proper dignity and peace to this place.

Each participant contributed more than just physical effort. It was an act of remembrance, care, and spiritual connection with those who have passed, as well as an important contribution to preserving our cultural heritage. For many, it was also an opportunity to pass on respect for history to younger generations and to foster a culture of a responsible attitude toward places of memory.

We thank everyone who joined, who found the time, strength, and inspiration. Thanks to you, this place is revived not only through cleanliness but through the attention we give it. Your work is proof that memory lives as long as there are those who keep it.
Together we are strong. Together we are a community. And as long as we remember, as long as we care, so continues our roots, our history, and our path.
