In every home, in every heart
The world changes, but some things remain constant: our traditions and our desire to be together
And that special moment arrives when Shabbat begins – a time to pause, exhale, give thanks, and fill the home with light.

We were together again – in different places, yet sharing the same feeling. Some joined online, some invited friends into their homes, others celebrated alone, yet with the sense that the familiar community was just beyond the screen. This time, a special warmth was added by gifts from the “Shabbat Guest” volunteers – aromatic, freshly baked challot and symbolic candlesticks with candles. They became a sign: we remember each other, we are together, even when apart.

This Shabbat was about care. About the genuine desire of volunteers to bring a celebration to those who are waiting. About how a simple act – sharing a challah or joining a meeting – can warm the heart. And it’s also about the chance to be part of something bigger. That’s why the “Let’s Connect!” project isn’t just technical support or video calls. It’s a bridge that allows even those who cannot leave their homes to be part of the community, the prayers, and the celebration.

And as the light of Shabbat candles flickers in the windows, we know: our homes are pieces of a larger Jewish home. We are not just celebrating – we are continuing a story. Again and again.
