The Dutch Jewish Humanitarian Fund, in partnership with the Joint, decided to support our "Jewish Cultural Heritage" project, in terms of which we were to produce a community play.

However, the quarantine has made some adjustments to our plans. As a result, more than a year of work, online rehearsals due to quarantine, in small groups during periods of attenuation of quarantine measures in the community, in the gymnasium, on weekends, in the evenings. Then the performance runs in the theater with the whole cast. After all, there are more than 40 participants!

Our participants called off work and lessons, prepared for exams at school and university, studying notes between goings on stage. During this time, several people managed not only to pass the EIT exams, in graduate school, but even graduate from the master's program.

The premiere took place. There was a storm of different feelings; the number of thanks and enthusiastic reviews is off the scale. The participants know what else they should improve, which is a normal creative process. After all, most of the artists are amateurs, without experience, but with a great desire to create.

The audience liked it - they laughed and cried, empathized, sympathized, applauded...

We are... happy. We want more! It will definitely continue! After all, Sumy and many cities of Ukraine are waiting for us.
