Journey across imaginary oceans

As part of the “Keitana” program, children embarked on a creative journey across the seas of Israel alongside our volunteers

As part of the children’s holiday program “Keitana,” where each day becomes a new adventure, our volunteers once again guided the kids into a world of dreams, inspiration, and creativity. This session transformed into a true journey across oceans and countries: children’s imaginations painted colorful boats carrying them to distant worlds. They invented routes, passengers, even meals on board - and with every brushstroke, their hearts filled with a sense of freedom and discovery.

But this journey was not only imaginary. It also led them to history, tradition, and their homeland. Together with the volunteers, the children explored the seas of Israel - the Mediterranean, Red Sea, Kinneret, and the Dead Sea. They learned about their uniqueness, significance, geography, and how they are described in the Torah and referenced in modern life.

Creativity and knowledge blended seamlessly, giving the children’s drawings a special depth. In each boat, one could see not only imagination but also a connection to the land of their ancestors and the waters that, for thousands of years, have carried stories, memories, strength, and life.

The volunteers helped create a space where children can dream, learn, feel, and grow. It was a day when creativity became a gateway to identity, growth, and light.

We sincerely thank everyone who gives children this magical time!
