Kind Deeds - Good Fruits

As part of the To be-eco campaign, a charitable art exhibition by a well-known Ukrainian artist was organized.

In celebration of the New Year of the Trees, the Volunteer Community centers, operating with the support of the Joint, are hosting the wonderful To be-eco campaign aimed at developing awareness of an eco-friendly lifestyle. Our Volunteer Center Kyiv Hesed, under the auspices of the Jewish Hesed Charity Foundation "Bnei Azriel," did not stand aside and conducted an action in the form of an art exhibition.

The charitable art exhibition kicked off on January 23, 2024, at the Art Hub with the support of a volunteer from our center, Ukrainian artist Oksana Okhapkina. Oksana presented her works from the series "Women of the World" and "Flower Fairyland." Exhibition visitors had the opportunity to appreciate the artist's skill. The paintings from the "Women of the World" series were created using oil technique, while the paintings from the "Flower Fairyland" series were done in dry pastel technique.

According to Oksana herself, she chose these series because they are "about the world and love, about nature and harmony, about the transience of our time, and most importantly, they are about life; spring will come, and flowers will bloom." The artist noted that she loves exhibitions in unusual places because it helps her "interact with people and space."

During the exhibition presentation, the author conducted a tour for the wards and employees of the foundation. Visitors were delighted, expressing gratitude for the opportunity to enjoy beautiful paintings. Some were particularly attentive and even counted the number of flowers depicted on them - ninety-one!

Since the opening, the exhibition has been visited by 100 people. If you haven't had the chance yet, hurry up! The exhibition is open for visits every weekday until February 15, 2024.
