Kindness in Action
Volunteers held a series of events as part of Good Deeds Day - from children's gatherings to supporting communities
As part of the international Good Deeds Day campaign, volunteers united around a simple yet very important idea - to do good every day and to be there for those who need support.
The campaign began with a particularly warm visit to the Rozhyshche Children's Shelter. Volunteers arrived not empty-handed, but with the desire to bring joy, attention, and shared experiences to the children. Together with the children, they prepared an unusual "matzah cake," talked, laughed, and created the atmosphere of a true celebration. For the children, it was a day filled with emotions, and for the volunteers, a reminder of how important simple human presence can be.
Another touching part of the campaign was preparing a charitable lunch for the beneficiaries of the "Source of Life" public organization. Volunteers lovingly prepared the meals, and a special symbol of care was freshly baked homemade bread, which filled the space with the aroma of warmth and comfort. These simple things transformed an ordinary meal into a moment of support and unity.
Participants of the AJT and AJT Junior youth clubs also actively joined the initiative. They took part in improving the territory of the "Warm Home" center by painting benches and elements of the courtyard, cleaning the area, assisting with organizational tasks, and doing everything possible to make the environment more welcoming and friendly. Their collective work became yet another proof that change begins with small actions.
All these events once again demonstrated that Good Deeds Day is not only about one day on the calendar, but about a way of thinking and living. It is about the willingness to notice the needs of others, to find time for kindness, and to create an atmosphere of support around us.
Acts of kindness do not require perfect conditions or great resources. They are born from the heart - and that is what makes them truly meaningful.
