Kindness in Jars
Volunteers prepared jam for the beneficiaries – adding warmth, care, and festive wishes for Rosh Ha-Shanah
On the eve of Rosh Ha-Shanah, our volunteers took part in the traditional Good Jam Day initiative, preparing homemade jam for the community’s beneficiaries. Each jar was filled with warmth, care, and heartfelt wishes – so that everyone could feel the spirit of the holiday and the love that unites generations.
The organization Lodge B’nai B’rith joined this kind initiative, donating honey and apples – symbols of a sweet and happy New Year. These ingredients added even more festive spirit, and the jam-making process became a true team moment: volunteers sang, joked, and shared stories, creating a special warm atmosphere.
Young volunteers lovingly delivered the finished jars to those who need support the most. Each gift became not only a delicious treat, but also a symbol of care, attention, and community unity. Seeing the beneficiaries’ happy eyes and hearing their words of gratitude was the greatest reward for the volunteers.
This initiative reminds us that even a small gesture, made from the heart, can warm the soul, bring a smile, and make the holiday truly special. Together, we create a world where kindness and care hold the greatest power, and where traditions and love are passed from heart to heart.
