Launch of the "Volunteer School"

More than 60 city residents expressed their desire to learn and deepen their knowledge in the field of volunteering.

The "Volunteer School" by the Kryvyi Rih Volunteer Community started in early November with tremendous success, attracting over 60 city residents eager to deepen their knowledge and skills in the field of volunteering.

This course consists of 10 educational sessions, of which 6 have already taken place, leaving only 4 more. Students had the opportunity to delve into various topics, such as:

  • Pro-Volunteering: Basic principles and approaches to volunteering.
  • Internal motivation and a healthy approach to volunteering: Developing motivation and maintaining mental health in volunteer work.
  • Interacting with different categories of people in volunteering: Features of communication and assistance to people with disabilities, pensioners, and other categories.
  • Burnout in volunteering: Avoiding stress and supporting mental health.
  • Time management in volunteering: Effective time management in volunteer activities.
  • Technologies and innovations in volunteering: How to use digital tools to improve volunteer work.

In addition to the theoretical part, students gained practical experience. For example, as part of the Day of People with Disabilities, they organized a celebration for children, which became part of a practical assignment for the course.

Among the upcoming topics are legal aspects of volunteering, project management, and fundraising for volunteer projects. At the end of the course, a presentation of KVC projects is planned, where participants can showcase their skills and ideas.

The "Volunteer School" by the Kryvyi Rih Volunteer Community has already become a valuable platform for learning, exchanging experiences, and applying knowledge in real volunteer projects.
