Living history for young hearts

The Private Historical and Ethnic Center of the Jews of Bratslav opened its doors to young guests from the summer camp

The Private Historical and Ethnic Center of the Jews of Bratslav joyfully welcomed young guests — children from a summer camp held in the heart of this historic Jewish town. This visit became a true celebration of learning and intergenerational dialogue.

Our small but very meaningful tour was led by a wonderful volunteer — someone who not only knows history but feels it. Together with the children, we explored the world of Jewish culture, learning about daily life, traditions, and significant events that shaped Bratslav over the centuries.

We spoke about the strength of the community, the living memory preserved in every object, photograph, and family story. The young guests listened attentively, asked questions actively, showed curiosity about the past, and were genuinely fascinated by what they saw.

Such encounters are important not only for preserving heritage but also for building connections between generations. They help children feel pride in their roots and understand who we are and where we come from.

We sincerely thank everyone for their lively interest, inquisitive eyes, genuine smiles, and thirst for knowledge. And, of course, special thanks to our volunteer, who made this journey into history warm, engaging, and inspiring.
