Marathon of Good Deeds
As part of the Day of Good Deeds, volunteers cared for historical memory, community spaces, and animals in need
As part of the Day of Good Deeds, volunteers in Lviv once again proved that caring for people, historical memory, and the world around us begins with simple yet meaningful actions.
One of the initiatives was the clean-up of the Jewish cemetery in Lviv - a historical memorial where many generations of Lviv Jews are buried. This place is an important part of the city's cultural and historical heritage, yet many graves require attention and care. With respect and responsibility, volunteers cleaned the area, removing litter, dry leaves, and weeds, helping to preserve the memory of past generations and restore the dignity of this sacred place.
Members of the "Ruach Time" Women's Club also joined the Day of Good Deeds. They organized an improvement initiative on the grounds of the Hesed Aryeh Charitable Foundation by planting ornamental shrubs and flowers near the entrance to the building. Thanks to their care, the space became even more welcoming, beautiful, and comfortable for visitors to the foundation.
Another focus of the campaign was collecting aid for a cat shelter. Through the joint efforts of volunteers and caring residents of the city, essential support was gathered for animals that require care and attention. This initiative once again reminded everyone that good deeds know no boundaries and concern everyone in need of help.
The Day of Good Deeds in Lviv became an example of how different initiatives can bring people together around shared values - memory, responsibility, care, and humanity. After all, doing good is truly simple, and even small actions have the power to change the world around us for the better.
