Memorial Evening
Volunteers held an evening of remembrance for the victims of the Holocaust, shared stories, and honored the deceased
Our volunteer, an engaging and compassionate person, held an evening dedicated to the International Holocaust Remembrance Day - titled “To Forget Is to Kill Again”.
The gathering was special - profound, sincere, and filled with meaning. Everyone present became part of a shared remembrance, supporting one another in moments of reflection and quiet sorrow. It was especially meaningful that even the cold, darkness, and limited light could not stop the desire to come together and honor the victims.
A particularly moving moment of the evening was the joint discussion of participants’ family stories. These vivid and heartfelt memories reminded everyone why the memory of the Holocaust must live in the hearts of generations.
The symbolic composition “Attach a Stone of Memory” also became a powerful part of the evening. Each stone is a small gesture of respect and remembrance that continues the lives of those we have lost.
This evening once again proved: memory is not only about recollection, but also about action. We remember, we speak, and we pass it on - so that no story is ever forgotten.
