Memories we keep together

Volunteers from the Bratslav center became a voice of respect, hands of care, and a heart of remembrance

The first mowing at the Jewish cemetery has now been completed – the area is cleared, trimmed, and each grave once again stands with dignity before the passage of time. It seems the grass still remembers the steps of those who are no longer with us, and we remember their names, stories, and contributions to our shared roots.

This is not just land maintenance – it is an act of deep gratitude, a demonstration of respect for past generations who once shaped the life of our community. The work of tending the cemetery is quiet and calm, yet profoundly meaningful. It makes the invisible visible: the connection between “then” and “now.”

We are grateful to everyone who joined this effort – physically, informationally, and morally. Every pair of hands, every hour of work, every kind thought – all of it becomes part of a collective effort to preserve our identity. Thanks to you, we not only maintain order but also convey respect for history and for our shared past, which deserves a dignified presence in the present.

These places are not silent. They speak to us through the initiative of volunteers, through clean pathways and well-kept gravestones. And we hear this voice.

Thank you for your ongoing support – both in helping people and in caring for memory. Together, we shape a community that understands that memory is a responsibility. And that true goodness has no expiration date.
