Movement is life

The new week of the "School of Longevity" project for elderly clients began with health benefits

A project volunteer with a medical background led a practical session on coordination exercises. This was not just a workout, but comprehensive work to support health, endurance, and good mood.

With age, muscles can weaken and balance may deteriorate, increasing the risk of falls and injuries. That’s why the volunteer developed a special set of exercises to strengthen leg and core muscles, improve coordination, reduce fall risk, and enhance joint mobility. Participants performed exercises while standing, seated on chairs, and even with support for those who struggle with balance. Everyone could adjust the intensity according to their physical abilities.

The session took place in a friendly, supportive atmosphere. The volunteer not only demonstrated the exercises but also explained the physiological processes occurring in the body during the workout, while offering practical advice on how to practice safely at home.

Following the active portion, participants discussed their experiences, shared impressions, and asked questions. Some admitted they hadn’t previously valued coordination exercises but now recognize their importance.

Movement is life, and it knows no age limits!

We thank our volunteer for her care and our participants for their enthusiasm and eagerness to grow. Many more inspiring meetings lie ahead in the “School of Longevity”!
