On the Eve of Passover

Volunteers Held an Educational Meeting for Hesed Beneficiaries Dedicated to the Traditions and Symbols of the Holiday

On the eve of Passover, volunteers visited the Hesed Day Center to hold a special meeting for the beneficiaries dedicated to one of the most important Jewish holidays. The event became an opportunity not only to recall traditions, but also to rethink their meaning in modern life.

Together, the participants immersed themselves in the history of the Exodus of the Jewish people from Egypt, spoke about the value of freedom, the importance of memory, and the traditions that are passed down from generation to generation, preserving the connection with the past and shaping a shared identity.

Special attention during the meeting was given to the Seder - the festive meal that occupies a central place in the celebration of Passover. Participants examined in detail its structure and symbolism, and also explored the meaning of each element of the Seder Plate. Together, they discussed why these particular symbols appear on the festive table and what meanings and reminders they carry for each generation

The most valuable aspect was that the meeting took place in the format of a live dialogue. The beneficiaries not only listened to the volunteers' stories, but also shared their own memories, associations, and reflections, trying to feel how centuries-old traditions resonate in their lives today.

To reinforce the new knowledge and make learning even more engaging, the volunteers prepared a thematic quiz. In a friendly atmosphere, the participants answered questions, recalled facts about Passover, and once again became convinced that learning traditions can be not only educational but also easy, enjoyable, and truly unifying.

This meeting became a space for communication, shared reflections, and warm emotions, once again reminding everyone that Passover is a celebration of memory, freedom, and unity that brings people together around shared values and meanings.
