Passover for Our Youngest Participants
A workshop where children explored the history and traditions of Passover through books, creativity, and shared experiences
During Passover, the youngest members of the community took part in a special gathering filled with creativity, discovery, and a festive spirit. A volunteer from the Jewish Volunteer League led a workshop that introduced children to the history and traditions of the holiday in an engaging and accessible way.
A special part of the gathering was the PJ Library books, which helped the children immerse themselves in the inspiring story of the Exodus from Egypt. They listened with great interest, asked questions, shared their thoughts, and discovered the meaning of Passover together.
After exploring the story, the children enjoyed a creative activity. The young artists enthusiastically made themed crafts, filling them with imagination, bright colours, and their own vision of the holiday. Every creation was unique, and the creative process brought plenty of joy and heartfelt emotions.
A warm and friendly atmosphere filled the gathering from beginning to end. The children encouraged one another, proudly shared their crafts, and enjoyed spending time together. It is through moments like these that a sense of belonging grows and traditions become meaningful and close to a new generation.
Events like these not only help children learn more about Jewish holidays, but also create lasting memories that stay with them for years to come.
