Path to Health
Members of the Maccabi Club attended a Nordic walking mini-festival combining relaxation and care for their health
The most active members and volunteers of the "Maccabi Sports, Healthy Lifestyle and Nordic Walking Club" project took part in an outdoor mini-festival called "Path to Health." Fresh air, scenic forest trails, physical activity and a wonderful chance to spend time with like-minded people awaited them.
The forest welcomed participants with cool air, their lungs filled with freshness, and birdsong seemed to invite everyone to recharge. In good spirits and with smiles on their faces, everyone was ready to get moving. Jokes about Nordic walking poles becoming more familiar than umbrellas or walking sticks added a relaxed touch and created a special atmosphere of friendly conversation.
The session was led by an experienced volunteer - a Nordic walking and Pilates instructor, certified nutritionist and sports competition participant. She inspires others through her own example to care for their health and keep improving. During the gathering, the instructor not only demonstrated exercises but also clearly explained which muscles work during movement, why proper technique matters and how regular physical activity affects well-being.
Participants warmed up, set off on an energetic walk along scenic trails and later completed a cool-down. Special attention was given to healthy eating: the instructor shared useful tips and reminded everyone that caring for the body involves not only movement but also daily eating habits. After all, a healthy lifestyle consists of many small but important steps.
A special moment of the festival was a guided meditation created by the instructor. Each participant chose a tree, stopped beside it and listened to themselves, the rustling leaves and the silence of the forest. This practice allowed everyone to slow down, restore inner balance and feel connected with nature. After the meditation, everyone joined a traditional activity - a circle of good wishes, taking turns sharing sincere words of support.
The gathering continued in a relaxed atmosphere with pleasant conversations. Participants enjoyed kosher treats, coffee and beautiful views, while those who wished could swim and soak up the sunshine on the beach. Everyone found something they enjoyed, and the time spent together brought good spirits and renewed energy.
The "Path to Health" mini-festival once again reminded everyone that self-care is not a luxury but an important part of everyday life. And when surrounded by people who support, inspire and genuinely celebrate one another's achievements, the journey toward healthy habits becomes easier and more enjoyable.
We invite everyone to join the Maccabi Sports Club! Your age and the distance you can walk do not matter here. What matters most is the desire to stay active, care for yourself and be part of a friendly community. Everyone is welcome - come along, meet new people, get moving and discover new opportunities!
