Preparing for Tu BiShvat

Volunteers, together with elderly members of the community, planted tulips for Tu BiShvat, placing care and hope into every pot

Volunteers of the center are actively implementing the “Wings of Kindness” project and are inspiringly preparing for the holiday of Tu BiShvat – the New Year of Trees, which reminds us of the connection between people and nature, our responsibility for the land and the importance of nurturing life.

Preparations began long before the celebration. First, the volunteers carefully selected and purchased the best tulip bulbs, which will later bloom in bright colors. They also purchased seeds and all the necessary tools to ensure the planting process would be convenient and thoughtfully organized down to the smallest detail.

The next step was preparing a fertile soil mixture. The volunteers carefully distributed it into pots, making sure that each future plant would have enough space and nutrients to grow. A special plate was prepared for each pot, so that during watering, the water would not leak out and the plants would receive proper care.

A particularly touching detail was the stickers, where each participant can write their name and the date of planting their own plant. This is not just a formality – it is a way to feel personal responsibility and a connection to the small life that is beginning its journey.

Tu BiShvat is a celebration of roots, growth and the future. And every planted bulb is a symbol of hope, care and the belief that something beautiful will surely grow from a small seed.

Ready for the celebration!
