Purim Together
Volunteers prepared traditional sweets and organized a joyful Purim celebration for community members
The center’s volunteers began preparations for the Purim holiday as a united team by baking traditional sweets known as "Hamantaschen". The process became a true example of teamwork that required careful planning and coordination.
A large quantity of cookies had to be prepared, so everything started with making the dough under the guidance of chef Tetiana. After that, the culinary team moved on to shaping the pastries - dividing the dough, preparing it in portions, and even freezing part of it in order to bake gradually. As a result, the goal was achieved - enough delicious treats were prepared ahead of the holiday.
Traditionally, these sweets will be delivered to elderly community clients so they, too, can feel the warmth of the holiday and the care of the community.
The Purim celebration continued with a vibrant event for community members. It began with the Purim fashion parade "Red Carpet", where participants showcased their costumes. Among the characters were princesses, pirates, Hermione, a little bat, and even an elegant French lady. The most creative costume was the father-and-daughter duo dressed as The Little Prince and his Rose.
Purim is a holiday of joy, so participants sang, danced, played games, and enjoyed festive treats. One of the most entertaining activities was the "Guess the Emotion" game, where participants had to express emotions for others to recognize.
Another special highlight for the children was face painting - everyone could choose their own look and add even more bright colors to the festive atmosphere.
The celebration took place in a warm and friendly environment and left behind many happy moments and cherished memories.
Wishing everyone a joyful Purim!
