As part of the “Bring Joy!” campaign, a culinary competition took place - with a quiz and the atmosphere of a true celebration
Purim is a holiday where there can never be too much joy. That is why, within the “Bring Joy!” campaign, we gathered together to celebrate it in a warm, friendly, and very delicious atmosphere - during the culinary competition “Homentash”.
The participants of the event enthusiastically and in a great mood, presented their versions of traditional Purim pastries. Each creation reflected character, creativity, and, of course, love for what they do. And the tasting “committee” consisted of clients of the Kyiv Hesed, who enjoyed the hominy and shared their impressions.
The celebration began with a quiz that immediately set an active and joyful tone for the event. Questions followed one after another, participants answered quickly and confidently, and the atmosphere filled with excitement and laughter. There were so many emotions that even the number of planned prizes had to be increased.
An important part of the meeting was a story about the history of the Purim holiday. Familiar since childhood, it sounds different every time - inspiring, reminding us of the strength of spirit, faith, and the triumph of good. This story creates that special mood when you want to rejoice together and share this feeling with others.
The culinary competition became not only an opportunity to showcase talents, but also a great occasion for communication, new connections, and sincere emotions. Participants supported each other, applauded, and created an atmosphere in which everyone felt part of a large friendly community.
Laughter, the aroma of fresh baking, warm conversations, and a true festive mood - this is how the day passed. Because Purim is about joy that we create together.
