Reviving a Cherished Tradition

Volunteers have brought back one of the warmest and most meaningful traditions—the social project "The Ball of Silver-Haired Ladies and Gentlemen."

This year, one of the most remarkable events revived by our dedicated volunteers was The Ball of Silver-Haired Ladies and Gentlemen, which gathered over 150 guests. The event took place in the grand hall of the Union Cultural Center, which transformed into an elegant ballroom for the occasion.

The festive atmosphere was enhanced by performances from members of the Maadon Center (Hesed Shaarei Zion Foundation) and talented artists from the David Oistrakh Odessa Philharmonic. Beautiful music and vibrant performances set the perfect mood for the evening.

For the beneficiaries of Hesed, this long-awaited ball was a chance to reconnect with the community, engage in meaningful conversations, and build new friendships. It’s no secret that elderly individuals deeply value social interactions that bring a special sense of purpose to their lives. Elegantly dressed women and gentlemen in classic tuxedos gracefully waltzed across the dance floor, sharing joy and radiating positivity.

We extend our heartfelt gratitude to the Hesed Shaarei Zion Foundation for their unwavering support and invaluable contribution to making this event possible. Such gatherings highlight the importance of unity and mutual support, adding warmth and happiness to our lives.
