Roots of Inspiration

Participants of the "Step Forward" project explored the symbolism of trees through creativity and planted herbs

A warm and inspiring session for participants and their parents took place within the "Step Forward" project, dedicated to the development of spatial thinking and the celebration of Tu BiShvat. Through creativity, discussion, and the symbolism of trees, participants explored the connection between art, nature, and the inner world of a person.

The inspiration for the session was Gustav Klimt's painting "The Tree of Life." Participants worked in a neurographic drawing format, discovered new ways of self-expression, and explored alternative drawing techniques. There was plenty of new knowledge, sincere emotions, and personal discoveries about how a tree is much more than just a plant.

The session continued with a family workshop where, together with parents and volunteers from the "Wings of Kindness" project, participants planted rosemary and thyme in pots. Each family took home their own small "windowsill garden," which will now fill their homes with pleasant aromas and become part of their family traditions.

For the "Or Shalom" Center, participants also planted crocuses together - the first spring flowers, which were left at the center as a symbol of hope, growth, and the coming spring.

Activities within the "Step Forward" project are always about development, creativity, support, and shared experiences that help people grow together.
