Shabbat Care Packages
Students and volunteers delivered 25 Shabbat care packages to Hesed beneficiaries and residents of the "Mishpacha" senior living home
Recently, our team of students and volunteers personally assembled and delivered 25 Shabbat care packages to beneficiaries of the Hesed Shaarei Zion Charitable Foundation and residents of the "Mishpacha" home for older adults.
This initiative became an example of teamwork, care, and meaningful presence alongside those who need support the most. Each package was assembled by hand with attention to detail and included everything needed to welcome Shabbat. For the team, this was not simply a packing process - it was a way to share warmth, support, and a sense of community.
Every package carried a simple yet important message: to remind people that they are not alone. That there is a community nearby that remembers them, cares about them, and is ready to offer support.
This initiative is especially meaningful today, when difficult circumstances - cold weather, challenging conditions, and power outages - make everyday life more difficult for many people. In moments like these, even a small act of kindness becomes a source of support and inner warmth.
For many beneficiaries, these Shabbat care packages became not only practical assistance but also a symbol of attention and humanity. A small reminder that they are remembered and that they are part of a larger community.
This initiative once again demonstrated the importance of cooperation between students, volunteers, and social projects. It is through such collaboration that simple yet meaningful actions are created - actions that improve people's daily lives.
We sincerely thank everyone who participated in assembling and delivering the Shabbat care packages. Your contribution is not just assistance - it is an expression of genuine humanity that makes a real difference.
