Shabbat That Brings Generations Together
Volunteers held Kabbalat Shabbat and Oneg for Hesed Menachem clients, with discussions about travel and traditions
Shabbat is a special time for gatherings, heartfelt conversations and warm exchanges that bring people of different generations together. At the Hesed Menachem Charitable Foundation, volunteers organized Kabbalat Shabbat and Oneg for Hesed clients, creating a welcoming atmosphere of friendship, mutual support and shared experiences.
The gathering began with the traditional part of the evening. Participants lit Shabbat candles and read the weekly Torah portion, preparing for a peaceful and meaningful time together. Following these traditions helped everyone experience the special atmosphere of Shabbat - a celebration that reminds us of the importance of family, community and spiritual connections between people.

The participants' personal stories were an especially valuable part of the gathering. Everyone could recall their own travels, share interesting experiences and hear stories from others. Such conversations not only help people learn something new but also offer a chance to get to know one another better, discover common interests and feel part of a friendly community.
The evening ended in a warm and relaxed atmosphere. Conversations continued as participants exchanged impressions and experiences. The gathering became another opportunity to spend time together, feel supported and strengthen connections within the community.
We thank the volunteers of Volunteer Community Ukr for organizing the gathering and all participants for their openness, active involvement and heartfelt conversations. After all, Shabbat is not only about traditions but also about the people around us, shared stories and the warmth we give one another.
