Shabbat Warmth in Every Home
Hesed clients receive monthly Shabbat packages, complemented by homemade baked goods and the care of volunteers
Every month, the "Shabbat to Go" project reminds us that the warmth of Shabbat can be felt regardless of circumstances or distance. Volunteers lovingly prepare and deliver Shabbat packages to clients of the Hesed Menachem Charitable Foundation, bringing the holiday right to their doorsteps along with comfort, care and a sense of unity.
This time, the traditional Shabbat packages included a special gift - fragrant homemade muffins to enjoy with tea. They were baked by Moishe House Dnipro volunteers. Behind every portion of baked treats are time, effort, inspiration and a sincere desire to make someone's evening a little warmer and more enjoyable.
For many clients, receiving such a package is more than simply having everything they need to welcome Shabbat. It is a sign of care, a reminder of the community and a feeling that they are remembered. Small homemade treats make this gesture even more heartfelt, because simple things like these often create a special holiday atmosphere.
"Shabbat to Go" brings many people together around one good cause. Some bake, some help assemble the packages, some deliver them around the city, and others support the project. Everyone makes a contribution, and together these efforts become care delivered to clients' homes.
