Shabbat with Care
Volunteers visited homebound community members, delivered Shabbat Kits, and spent time with the beneficiaries
On the eve of Shabbat, volunteers visited homebound members of the community to deliver Shabbat kits and offer the most valuable gifts of all - attention, warmth, and live communication.
During their visits, the volunteers not only delivered the kits needed to welcome Shabbat, but also took time for sincere conversations. They asked about the beneficiaries' well-being, learned about their needs, listened to their stories, and shared news from the life of the community.
For many elderly and homebound people, such meetings are especially important. They provide an opportunity to feel care, attention, and support, and to know that they are remembered and remain an integral part of the community.
Such visits once again remind us that Shabbat is not only about traditions and symbols, but also a time to be there for one another, support those who need it most, and share the warmth of human connection.
We sincerely thank the volunteers for their compassion, kindness, and willingness to share their time and hearts. It is through such simple yet sincere acts that the true atmosphere of a caring and united community is created.
