Smiles given as gifts
As part of the “Wave of Kindness” marathon, RVC volunteers visited a boarding school in Tuchyn to bring joy to children
As part of the marathon of good deeds “Wave of Kindness”, which for the second consecutive year has been launched by Volunteer Community Ukr for all volunteer centers of the network, RVC volunteers visited a special boarding school in Tuchyn to bring joy to the children and support the institution. The task within the marathon was both simple and difficult at the same time - “Give a child a smile”. On the one hand, making a child smile is not difficult, but ensuring that this smile continues to radiate goodness and positivity for a long time is something else - and this was exactly the goal of the volunteers.
The mission was fully accomplished - the day was filled with sincere smiles, shining eyes, and joyful laughter. The animation program gave the children a sea of emotions: there was a lot of joy, warmth, and hugs. The children enthusiastically welcomed fairy-tale characters, hugged the hero, played, and competed, and these moments became priceless for all participants.
But volunteers contributed to the children's happiness not only through the program itself. Thanks to joint efforts, essential supplies were delivered to the school: cleaning products, LED light bulbs, sweets, pencils and hair clips, as well as an electric vegetable slicer. Such support is extremely valuable and important for the daily work of the school.
At the end of the event, each child received a sweet gift from a family full of kindness, who personally baked and decorated cookies for every child. This is an example of how goodness is passed forward - from heart to heart.
Special thanks to the animators for helping organize such a bright event and creating a festive atmosphere. The appearance of a fairy-tale character became a true explosion of joy for the children. Special gratitude goes to everyone who contributed to the organization and support of this initiative.
Even a small gesture of love can make a big day for someone. The volunteers are happy that they were able to give the children a bright celebration, warm their hearts, and fill the day with kindness. The “Wave of Kindness” marathon continues, and each of its initiatives reminds us that goodness has the power to multiply when we share it.
