Sowing the future together
"Tu BiShvat" is a day when we feel a deep connection to the land, its gifts, and the eternal cycle of life
To celebrate this holiday, we organized a wonderful environmental initiative "To be ECO", which brought together children, parents, and volunteers in a shared effort – creating a small future garden.

A true spring atmosphere filled our Warm Home. The children eagerly explored different seeds and attentively listened to the adults’ stories about the properties of plants and their benefits for health. Then, together with their parents, they carefully prepared the soil, sowed parsley, basil, dill, and lettuce seeds, and planted tomatoes, cucumbers, and peppers. In the future, these plants will flourish in the garden near our Warm Home, adding beauty and greenery to the space.

There was so much joy, genuine smiles, and childlike excitement! Small hands carefully touched the soil, while curiosity sparkled in their eyes – each child imagined how these tiny seeds would soon sprout and turn into fragrant greenery. The adults assisted, explaining why it is important to care for plants, water them regularly, and appreciate all living things around us.
The atmosphere of warmth and togetherness filled every moment. We talked about the traditions of Tu BiShvat, responsibility for the environment, and the significance of even the smallest actions in preserving nature. The initiative became a wonderful opportunity not only to teach children how to care for the earth but also to strengthen intergenerational connections, fostering a sense of unity and support.

There is still much work ahead – our little gardeners will take care of the plants, observe their growth, and rejoice at every new leaf. And together with them, we will eagerly await the moment when we can harvest the first crops and share the fragrant greenery with everyone.
Thanks to everyone who took part in this wonderful initiative! May our plants grow strong and our community become even more united and supportive!
