Territory of Children's Dreams
Creativity, colors and a little carefree fun - volunteers gave children a space for joy, calm and recovery
"Yeladim. Territory of Children's Dreams" is about moments when childhood becomes simply childhood again - with colors, creativity, sincere smiles and a chance to put worries aside, at least for a while.
For the second time, volunteers joined the initiative supporting children from internally displaced families and children whose parents are combat veterans. It is especially important for them to have a space where they can feel joy, attention and care, and simply spend time in a pleasant atmosphere.
This time, a creative activity became that space. The children made colorful souvenirs with their own hands, experimented with colors, created their own designs and put a little of their mood and imagination into their work.
Art activities are not just an opportunity to make something with your own hands. The creative process helps children shift their focus, relax and safely express emotions that can sometimes be difficult to put into words. Working with paints, colors and images gives a child the chance to simply be themselves - without judgment or right and wrong answers.
The day was filled with colors, children's concentration, conversations and, of course, smiles. And every finished souvenir became a small reminder that there are people nearby who care.
For volunteers, these gatherings are an opportunity to do more than simply organize an interesting activity. They are a chance to give children a few hours of calm, positive emotions and the feeling that they are remembered and cared for.
May there be as many moments like these as possible. Because childhood should be filled not with worries, but with dreams, colors and happy memories.
