The “Agreement of Kindness” for the еlderly

In our community, a project has started that provides not only hot meals but also warmth, care, and attention

A new kind and truly delicious project has launched — Food Security BRIT TOVA (“Agreement of Kindness”), aimed at supporting elderly people by providing them with hot, nutritious, and fresh meals ahead of Shabbat. These are not just dishes, but a symbol of our collective care and respect for people of the “golden age.”

Every Friday, 10 participants of the project will receive a full meal: a first course, a main course, a cutlet with a side dish, and a fresh bun — all prepared with love, attention, and a sincere heart.

On the first day of the Agreement of Kindness, we already saw how important this initiative is. Five people with limited mobility received meals delivered directly to their doors, thanks to our dedicated volunteers who brought the packages of kindness with a smile and heartfelt words of support. Another five elderly participants visited the NGO Hesed Hana/EOC Beit Graham, where they not only received meals but also experienced an atmosphere of care, warmth, and true community.

Because BRIT TOVA is not just about food. It is about dignity, about the assurance that someone remembers you. It is about small acts of care that make old age warmer and Shabbat brighter and more delicious.

We believe this project will become a tradition that will unite even more hearts. The Agreement of Kindness is an agreement each of us makes with our own conscience: to care, support, and give love.

We sincerely thank all the volunteers who have already joined this effort, and everyone ready to become part of this great wave of kindness.
