The holiday of childhood and summer
The first day of summer in Ternopil turned into a true celebration of joy — our volunteers took part in the city’s events
June 1, 2025, was not just the beginning of the calendar summer but also the long-awaited start of school holidays. The air was filled with the scent of ice cream, the sound of children’s laughter, and the feeling of freedom that only childhood can bring. On this day, Ternopil transformed into a true land of children’s dreams. In parks, squares, and shopping centers alike, a carnival of joy came to life.
One such place was the Podolyany Shopping Center, where children were greeted by exciting animators, entertaining programs, movies, and endless fun. Our volunteers also joined the celebration, preparing engaging themed zones. Children had the chance to create, play, explore their imagination, receive gifts, and simply enjoy themselves among their peers.
For older children, special film screenings were organized, while the youngest enjoyed play areas with cheerful characters. Volunteers not only helped coordinate activities but also engaged warmly with the children, offering attention, support, and care.
This celebration was a reminder that childhood is a space where every smile matters. Volunteering is a way to make those smiles even brighter.
