The scent of care

Volunteers gathered and dried herbs from their gardens so that older adults could enjoy a healthy and soothing herbal tea

Volunteers from our community organized a warm and heartfelt care initiative, filling hearts with sincerity and gratitude. From their own gardens, they gather the aromatic gifts of summer - mint, lemon balm, currant and raspberry leaves, and other healing herbs.

All of this is carefully dried and stored until winter, ready to give older adults, our cherished Golden Age members, a taste of summer in every cup of tea.

These are not just drinks - they are gestures of care for health, expressions of love, and signs of respect for those who have lived challenging lives while maintaining strength and dignity. In winter, when it is cold and dark outside, the fragrant herbal tea will warm their hands and hearts, reminding them that they are remembered and cared for.

Each dried sprig represents the effort and warmth of volunteers who give their time and attention wholeheartedly. Thanks to them, winter evenings for our Golden Age community will be brighter, warmer, and filled with a sense of love.
